If I could I would do that, and then not let them pvp. Simply be like, sure here u can wear a gold cape for 100k... but ur not involved in actual guild stuff.

You were a PvE scrub for a long time.

I believe you misunderstood what I meant. I meant the PvE players who are willing to pay over 100k for a gold trim are scrubs. For the record, I'm still a PvE player. I just happen to have knowledge of PvP. Sorry if I sounded like I was bashing PvE players in general, because I wasn't.

trim is a nice little perk. If someone wants to buy their way in, why not?

If I had a Gold Trim guild, I wouldn't sell invites for 100k.

I'd sell for 100k+50 ecto. Screw those morons who pay for invites, they can have their fun, and I'll make some cash. Idiots.

I guess I'm old fashioned then.
It's an acheivement of a well played match...and the trim is the trophy.
You don't see anyone renting out the Stanley Cup, or their Super Bowl rings..(I don't think... )

People sell their Medals of Honor/Purple Hearts/Silver Stars all the time online. However, at least for MoH, it's a felony now.

I believe the saying goes:

"A fool and their money are easily parted"

Personally, I think anyone joining a guild for anything other than playing with friendly, likeminded people is pretty sad.

Can't say I'd touch any guild that wanted to charge you an admission fee to join, with a barge pole.

Morally? Different people have different morals.

In my general opinion, it is morally right. If you worked hard to earn that 100k, then it's your right to spend it on whatever you want. If someone sells an invite for 100k, then whatever.

This general opinion, of course, is different for real life... say NO to drugs!

If someone wants to pay money for an inflated sense of self-importance, that's their own problem.

Well the members of the guild who didn't participate in the guild get the trim also. Its easy to spot if someone payed their way into a guild with their lack of knowledge anyway.

Yeah.. pretty much what I think too. If someone is willing to pay 100k to join a guild with a different trim because this guild accomplished (and not them, but they want the credit or they want to flaunt)... it's sad indeed.

It's not really immoral until the guild leader kicks them the next day. Well, unless they deserved it and being general pricks.

It is okay imo just might have scams involved...
But honestly, most top guilds sell the guilds then the buyers of the guild sell invites...
and if u see some random pve guy in (gold trim cape guild) u know its been sold lol (trying not to name names... but they're everywhere!)

I think that the only thing it brings is possible social stigma, and I personally wouldn't buy my way into a top guild or purchase a trim. While it isn't (and shouldn't be) a bannable offense, it's not something I agree with. I suppose that if someone really wants to get in a top guild, and has the money to do so, then he/she should do it.
